Christmas is in less than a week.
The strange thing is, years ago this would have excited me. I would be boiling over in excitement of practicing the Wesson Brothers tradition of pretending to sleep while in a room with my brothers, waiting until the middle of the night (or more accurately, early morning), to sneak out and see if Santa delivered presents. I had waited all year for that night, and through the giggles, the joking, the anticipation, nothing could make that night more magical.
It has been more than fifteen years since I’ve practiced that tradition with my brothers. For starters, we don’t live in the same state anymore, and I work through the holiday season. Secondly, we are all old enough to value our privacy, no matter what tradition we break.
As much as I miss my family during the holiday season, I’m doing my best to stay busy, find myself around good friends, and look to the future. There’s much to be done in 2010, and for better or worse, it will get done.
Small Victories
Today I finished a short project for work. Not only does this fullfill a bit of CYA, but it made me look good. I was not aware that I had the abilities that I eventually displayed today, but it appears that I do, and therefore, I have another set of skills to hone in the near future to make myself a bit more marketable. More as it happens.
Here are a few quick test of something that I was working on today. It felt good to be producing things again.

Until next time,
~P
